Aslam’s journey as an MLA began in 2009 when he won the by-election from Malad West constituency, Mumbai. He is a three-time election winner (2009-14, 20014-19, 2019-24). He believes that the role of the Member of Legislative Assembly is to be an instrument of socio-economic transformation by effectively contributing to state issues and by articulating the issue by raising it for discussion and debate in the Legislative Assembly

Aslam’s life has been an endless voyage dedicated to the growth of his constituency. It has been in the process that he learned and evolved himself as a mass leader. In Vidhan Sabha, his roaring voice is not limited to the debates within the chambers. He’s also much concerned about the local issues of his constituency and their day-to-day lives, as he is about matters of national importance. His exemplary work will continue to be a strong and effective advocate for our community.
