The Directorate of Handlooms and Textiles, Maharshtra is functioning under the Department of Industries and Commerce aims at evolving polices for the promotion and development of handloom and textile sector in the state. The Department is headed by the Hon’ble Minister for Industries and the Principal Secretary (Industries) is the administrative head. The Director heads the office and also acts as the functional registrar of Apex Co-operative weavers’ society and Co-operative Spinning Mills in the State. http://dirtexmah.gov.in
